St. Alphonsa Public School is a Christian minority school which had its humble beginning in the year 2014 by Mar Remigiose Inchananiyil, the Bishop of Thamarassery Diocese. The school is administrated by Alphonsa Educational & Charitable Trust. Msgr. Mathew Maveli is the chairman of the trust and Adv. Fr. Sebastian Chembukandathil is the manager. Since two years, the school is in the path of success as it is in collaboration with Olive International School, Quatar, having Devis Edakalathur as the Chairman of the School. Rev. Fr. Joseph Varghese was the first Principal of the school and it was handed over to Rev. Fr. Joseph CC. Presently the school is under the able leadership of Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas Joseph. It is a co-educational English Medium school which welcomes all students irrespective of their cast and creed. The school got its affiliation with CBSE Board, New Delhi in the year 2022.The school is under the religious jurisdiction of the diocese of Thamarassery. The school is located close to Fathima Matha Church, and it is located in the rural beauty of Oorakam, which is adjacent to the tourist center of Mini-Ooty, in Malappuram district. Its campus is spread over an area of four acres by the side of Malappuram-Kondoty Airport road. The beautiful land scape and the beauty of the nature provides a composed and conducive atmosphere for the overall development of a child. The school is designed to impart integrated education to children drawing the best from Indian culture and the traditions of the past, instructing and helping them acquire a good personality on progressive lines with a comprehensive mental outlook and self-confidence, based on sound character and good conduct to face the future.
